domestic shipping. We DO ship Internationally but we do NOT insure International orders unless buyer specifically requests this and we are able to provide an insurance estimate. If an international shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what YOU pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the ACTUAL shipping costs! This is important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are estimates. We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and your prompt payment will hasten the turn-around time.

examples like this one.
The label on this bottle is a colored copy of the original label that went on this bottle. We copied it ourselves because there are very few of these that have survived the elements of time with their paper label intact and even fewer collectors who can ever own a labeled example. Not only does the label explain a lot about the bottle and the product in the bottle, but it also gives it a super nice complete look, for displaying. Repetition for emphases, it is a copy of a label.
These small oval shaped glass pill bottles were made in this shape so they could easily fit into a pocket or purse.
As time when on, they were eventually replaced with tin containers and eventually paper tubes, much like Tums or Rolaids come in today. Like Tums and Rolaids, these were Digestive Tablets (for treating heart burn, upset stomach, etc.) This is the largest size version of this bottle, there are also smaller ones, then also newer ones that are a rectangular shape and flat on the base so they can actually stand on end, and machine made screw tops.
This is the older version of this bottle, a BIM cork top bottle, an
d the most attractive.
The label on it reads "
JOHNSON'S DIGESTIVE TABLETS ... BRUNSWICK PHARMACEUTICAL CO.
" Johnson was part of the JOHNSON and JOHNSON Company and the Brunswick Pharmaceutical Co. is what the B.P. Co
., stands for, something a collector would not know without the label.
Also the label brings out the
1906
Pure Food and Drug statement, so that dates it pretty well.
In summary, what makes this an exceptional looking bottle is:
1) It is an original antique hand blown into mold (BIM) bottle.
2) It is nicely embossed.
4) it is an attractive tear drop shape.
4
) It is a deep COBALT BLUE COLOR,
