insurance. We do NOT insure International orders unless buyer specifically requests this and we are able to provide an insurance estimate. If an international shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what YOU pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the ACTUAL shipping costs! This is important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are estimates. We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and your prompt payment will hasten the turn-around time.

examples like this one.
PLEASE NOTE that the label on this bottle is a color-copy of the original label that went on this bottle
. It adds to the colorful look of the bottle, shows what originally came in the bottle, and gives it a complete look. Since so few bottles have survived the elements of time w/paper label intact, this gives collectors a chance to own something that they would otherwise never even see.
These small oval shaped glass pill bottles were made in this shape so they could easily fit into a pocket or purse.
As time when on, they were eventually replaced with tin containers and eventually paper tubes, much like Tums or Rolaids come in today. Like Tums and Rolaids, these were Digestive Tablets (for treating heart burn, upset stomach, etc.) This is the largest size version of this bottle, there are also smaller ones, then also newer ones that are a rectangular shape and flat on the base so they can actually stand on end.
This is the older version of this bottle and the most attractive.
It is confusing to figure out about what the "qp" stands for. We had a labeled example with this embossing which was a product put up by the Brunswick Pharmaceutical company, and somehow the qp is a version of bp or BP = Brunswick Pharmaceutical. The label on it also read, "
JOHNSON'S DIGESTIVE TABLETS ... BRUNSWICK PHARMACEUTICAL CO." Johnson was part of the JOHNSON and JOHNSON Company
.
In summary, what makes this an exceptional looking bottle is:
1) It is an original antique hand blown into mold (BIM) bottle.
2) It is nicely embossed.
4) it is an attractive tear drop shape.
