    This is a scarce shoulder emb Radam's Microbe Killer Drink hand blown bottle which was an attempt by the Radam company to do damage control after the 1906 Pure Food & Drug Act. They removed the words CURES ALL DISEASES and changed their bottle, but kept the same size and shape like the older bottle.  This unusual bottle is boldly emb
    WM RADAM'S / MICROBE / KILLER / DRINK
    around the shoulder.....Hand blown in mold....smooth base...smooth sheared lip....amber....square with rounded corners...amber....10 1/4"tall....it has a couple chips on the lip; no other damage. A dug bottle with some light haze. Bold crisp embossing.... Many complaints were made to the government about this quack nostrum in the 1890s. When analyzed by a chemist it was found to contain 99% plain old water and about 1% acid, which gave it just a tingle to make the user think it was actually doing something. The government busted the Radam's Microbe Killer company and raided their warehouse, breaking all the bottles and jugs of Microbe Killer they could find
