Description
Lovely small Camark Artware Pottery pitcher and wash basin pair, from the 1950s. This beautiful cream-colored set, which in this case is the natural color of the clay, has a simple timeless edge design and is in absolutely mint condition. Founded in 1926, the Camden Art Tile and Pottery Company was the third and last producer of Art Pottery in Arkansas. By the end of its first year, its name had changed to Camark to include both the city of Camden in Ouacita County and the state of Arkansas. Camark Pottery eventually became one of Camden’s best-known industries and was known nationwide. The pottery was closed in the mid-sixties. This set is their pattern number 309, which is marked on the bottom, along with USA which identifies it as made in the USA Art Pottery. I have nothing at all to report in the way of condition; this pitcher and basin is completely perfect. Measurements are as follows: basin - length handle to handle 8.5”/21.5cm, width 7.5”/19cm, height 1.875”/4.5cm, base diameter 4”/10cm, and weight 14oz/0.4kg; pitcher - height at highest point near mouth 5.5”/14cm, height of handle 5.875”/15cm, length lip to handle 5.25”/13cm, width of mouth 2.75” opening diameter approximately 2”/5cm, body approximately 4”/10cm length x 4”/10cm width, base diameter 2.75”/7cm, and weight also 14oz/0.4kg. The combined height of both pitcher and basin is 6.25”/16cm at handle, and the combined weight is 1lb 12 oz/0.8kg. This beautiful mid-century pottery pair would add to the decor of any room in your home!Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.

I have only recently begun selling again, but I’ve never gotten a bad review either as a seller or a buyer and will do my very best for each and every customer. I am happy to be selling some of my treasures so that someone else can enjoy them now. Please view all pictures carefully as they most accurately depict the condition of an item. I take the best pictures that I can and describe the items to the extent of my knowledge, but I am not an expert, only a collector of ‘stuff’ for many years. Measurements are approximate, done to the best of my ability. Feel free to contact me if you would like additional pictures or more information about anything I have for sale.
All of my sale items have been cherished and carefully cared for over the years, and mine has always been a smoke-free home. Everything has been stored inside boxes in my clean and dry basement or inside cabinets or furniture. I do have dogs but they do not come into contact with my merchandise, and everything I sell has been thoroughly cleaned before being listed for sale. I am an environmentally conscious seller so I do reuse boxes and packaging material from items that I buy, but only if they meet my high standards of cleanliness.
I have always been known for my very careful packaging in order to ensure there will be no movement or breakage during transit of any item I sell. If damage does occur during shipping, or if you are unhappy for ANY reason, please contact me before leaving feedback and I promise to make it right. I greatly appreciate your business!
