    Description

A very special piece! Very old medicine BUDDHA amulet from Tibet
An absolutely beautiful, handcrafted piece! What very special! The amulet is made of old, solid brass. It is partly covered in yak leather for protection (see picture!) The amulet has a real yak leather strap to which 2 small pockets are attached. These contain Tibetan medicinal herbs to protect against diseases and dangers, they are sewn all around. The leather itself has that typical yak leather smell!
The medicine Buddha is represented, the Buddha who brings healing. You can recognize him by his medicinal plant, which he holds in his right hand.
The amulet is in great condition for its age! See image!
I bought the amulet from a Tibetan who lives in exile in Nepal.
It shows the Gautama Buddha in the lotus seat, in the gesture of touching the earth.
Dimensions: 4 cm high, 1.2 cm deep, 2.7 cm wide,
The yak strap has a length of approx. 60 cm.
