insurance. We have enjoyed shipping our items all over the world and are happy to offer most of our items to international buyers. Yet insuring International parcels is very expensive so PLEASE NOTE; we do
NOT
insure International orders unless winning buyer specifically requests this and we are able to provide an insurance quote. We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and send payment acknowledgments and shipping confirmations. Your prompt payment will assure a very quick turn-around time.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If our shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what
YOU
pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the
ACTUAL
shipping costs! This is especially important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are rough estimates

You don't find tiny SAMPLE
antique TOOTH POWDER bottles
very often, this is a very FULLY EMBOSSED
little bottle
.  In doing some research on this product we find that it was first
c
reated in 1859 by Roswell van Buskirk of NJ.  The name Sozodont isn't just an interesting sounding title but is related to early dentistry.  For example, the Greek word "sozo" means "to save" and the Greek word "dontia" means teeth.  So this title of this product meant that it was 'to save the teeth'.  However, shortly after 1900, negative reports by dentists about the product were published and the product faded from distribution.  All that remains today are just a few of these old bottles.
We used to think that Tooth Powder was the forerunner of tooth paste but as can be seen in our 'see other items' list, we have other types of antique liquid tooth paste bottles that prove that tooth powder wasn't the forerunner of tooth paste, it was an alternative.
Like so many of these products, they weren't just for cleaning the teeth but they also claimed to cure all diseases of the MOUTH THROAT TEETH, and GUMS and anything else remotely connected to the teeth.  An excellent example
