    NORSE GOD THOR BELT BUCKLE
    Awesome detail on this more traditional depiction of Thor God of Thunder. The buckle depicts Thor riding through the heavens on his chariot pulled by the goats Tanngrisni ("gap-tooth") and Tanngnost ("tooth grinder"). Lightning flashed whenever he threw his hammer Mjollnir. Thor wears the belt Megingjard which doubles his already considerable strength. His hall is Bilskirnir, which is located in the region Thrudheim ("place of might"). His greatest enemy is Jormungand, the Midgard Serpent. At the day of Ragnarok, Thor will kill this serpent but will die from its poison. His sons will inherit his hammer after his death.
    The buckle is made of solid hand poured fine pewter. It is new, has never been used and is in excellent condition. The color is hand painted here in the US.
    The buckle measures 3 3/4" long by 2 7/16". It will fit a belt up to 1 3/4" wide.
