Up for auction the seller list an amazing Coal Region bottle from Historic Summit Hill, Pa. A RARE Aqua Blue Dr. T. E. Davis Switch-Back Pharmacy Embossed Cure Bottle. One of only 5 local meds with contents embossed in the glass. All the clear ones which number in the hundreds are unknown. Dr. Davis made his own cough cure, Sarsaparilla, baby drops and an ointment I believe we have both cure and Sarsaparilla in museum so far with many others.
Back to the auction The Cure stands 5 1/4 inches tall about 2 1/2 wide minimal staining usual ware, no chips cracks or dinks. A nice top and a bunch of embossing on the bottom more than I’ve seen on the very few that are out there. The auction comes with a bonus bottle a small sample in aqua blue color which is rare in the Dr. TE Davis Switch-Back pharmacy medicine collection. There are more cobalt blue then aqua variants.
This is just a great little bottle displays well barely fit an ounce in it I think but no chips cracks or Dinks.
Great for the beginner or advanced collector. Conversation pieces and gifts.
