First off, if you have a larger saw with a 16-18" bar and it measures 4 3/4" wide, this is NOT the cover you need. Measure the width of your bar, if it is 4 3/4" see my other listings for the correct one. Stihl has a wide bar and a narrow bar that are both 16-18" depending on the saw you have. However, if your 16-18" bar measures around 2 3/4" wide this is the correct one.
