Scarce Western -  "A. MOURON / SONORA, CAL" - Druggist Bottle!
We're pleased to offer one of the more difficult to acquire drugstore bottles from the early California Gold Country. Hand blown into a two part mold, circa 1890s. The glass has a nice lavender tint from years of sun exposure. Size is 6" tall x 2-3/8" wide. There is a very hard to detect chip repair to the lip. No staining wear, scratches or cracks.
Located in  Tuolumne County, Sonora was one of the earliest & roughest mining camps. Named for the miners that came from Mexico.
Annie Mouron was born in Germany in 1852 and came to Sonora in 1857. Her husband, the late Dr Julius Mouron, conducted a drug store here for many years.
After his death she operated the business being the oldest woman pharmacist in the state.
