This bottle comes with the original blown glass syringe stopper that was still in the bottle when it was found, well over a century after it was in use.

is shown in the very last picture
for comparison, but it is not the bottle that is for sale here.   Without the label there is no way to know what the contents of this bottle was for, so this is a very important way to document what this bottle actually held.  Now many more people can enjoy it as it originally looked as very few collectors will ever own one of the originals.
This is one of the more obvious VENEREAL DISEASE bottle's that we've had.   Usually they were very secretive about what they said on the label, etc., so that no body else
would figure out that a person was taking medicine for this disease as that person would likely be shunned by the community.
So these type of bottles usually just beat around the bush in explaining what they were for, and how to administer the medicine.   But not this one.  Label wraps around two sides of the bottle, and is pretty graphic in describing the use of the medicine.  E
ven the title of this medicine "KNOXIT", kind of explains what it was used for, as it supposedly "knocked it" as far as sexually transmitted diseases went.   Whether it did or didn't wasn't a big thing to the manufacturer as someone with this disease was so desperate they would try anything in hopes of a cure-   Side label also mentions it treats Luccarrhoea? (or Whites?), but we could not find out what this word was.  A super great example of an old time V.D. CURE
