    Description

    I am currently listing my better "bought" bottles from my collection, some of which I have had for decades. Listed here is a "REED'S 1878 GILT EDGE TONIC" This has a nice dark amber color, in the right light almost reddish color, and has some nice crudity to the serif embossing and a half circle key mold base, which is un-embossed. This appears to be from the late 70's. No damage noted but does have moderate internal ground staining, likely from being a dug bottle. A nice looking bitters type bottle with an early date embossed.
