Prev used but not abused, this orig, auth, period litho'd enamel tin advert tip tray, is an earlier White Rock table water tip tray, feat a red surrounding raised sill & deep viridian green White Rock typography fields, w/the famous White Rock Psyche logo of a bare chested, winged nymph kneeling on a rock by a body of water. The image is from the famous orig painting by American artist Paul Thumann, which was exhibited at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair & for which White Rock purchased exclusive rights to use the image in its advertising, which became nationally & internationally known. The litho'd enamel tin tray is in splendid, well-pres, antique cond & incredibly only has a few very minor scuffs & tiny abrasions on its surface. There's also a very sm, tiny push in the tin in the int basin of the tray. The verso feats correct, deep olive, solid enamel paint. A simply incredible American advertising artifact.
