  • Condition: Crudely made, applied top...a "pot stone" on the shoulder which adds to the crudity. No chips or cracks. Some small bubbles in the glass and a rough, irregular surface commensurate with it's age. The base may have been pontiled and smoothed out after the fact??....but not certain of that?     Description

    antique,
    rare, crudely made "black" glass (
    actually dark green
    ) "BLOOD FOOD", Handyside medicine bottle
    .
    The bottle stands almost 10" tall and the main "body" of the bottle is approx. 3 1/2" wide. (for a size comparison, please see the item alongside a
    regular can of Coke
    in the last pic)
    As you can see, it has an applied lip with mis-shapen top edge lip and gloppy run! (see pics 3 through 6)
    Just a very "cool" crude piece, with such an
    outrageous name
    ...for the collector of antique bottles!
