Description
Offered Here is an Original, Antique, Western United States 1860’s Mold-Blown Food - Seasoning-“Spice-Bottle”.The Eight-Sided-Rectangular-Shaped Bottle is Blown of a Pretty Light-Bluish-Aquamarine Colored Glass.
The Top is a Crudely, “Applied - Outwardly-Rolled Lip-Finish” which is Nicely Crooked and Unevenly Hand-Formed.
The Bottle has Crude and Unevenly Blown Panel-Surfaces. It is Remarkably Clean and Sparkles in Natural Sunlight as seen in the Photos.
The Hexagonal-Bottom of the Bottle is Very Thick and Crude with an Unusual Protruding Glass Circle in the center of the Base which appears (from a distance) to be an “Open-Pontil-Scar” but It is Not….a “Pontil” as is understood upon closer examination, but is still a “Hinge-Mold” Era Bottle which was Produced in the Introductory Years of the “Snap-Case” and innovation, that Replaced the “Pontil-Rod” in the Early-1860’s.
CONDITION: The Bottle is in “Excellent / Pristine” Original, Antique (Estate - “Not-Dug”) Condition w/ NO FORMS OF “DAMAGE”, NO CHIPS, NO CRACKS, NO DISTRACTING SCUFFS OR ABRASIONS, NO DISTRACTING STAINING, NO BRUISES, NO “FLEA-BITES”, NO STRIKES OR “IMPACT DINGS”. - Very Nice (!!!!)
