Offered Here, is an Original, Antique, 19th. Century Druggist-Product "Bill-Of-Lading" or Shipping Receipt from Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The Document Features a Nice "Litho" of a Sailing Merchant Vessel" and a United States Revenue-Stamp is Affixed to the Top with a Cancel Dated March 16, 1867. The Shipping "Invoice" (Basically) is Signed by Many Different People but is Signed in Multiplicity, by Xavier Bazin, Philadelphia Druggist and Tender of One of the Most Successful Apothecaries in the City.The Early Printed-Document Features a Lithographed Graphic of a Merchant Ship and is Signed by X. ( Xavier) BAZIN) who was a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Drug-Store Merchant who Marketed a line of Patent-Medicines and Cosmetic Products. His Colorful and Beautiful Transfer-Designed, Ceramic "Pot-Lids" are of Great Interest to Collectors and Draw Very High Prices, when they Come-up For Sale, Occasionally in Various Antique Bottle-Themed Auctions.

"Xavier Bazin established a soap and perfumery business in Philadelphia sometime before 1850. He manufactured X. Bazin's Celebrated Toilet Soaps, Shaving Creams, Bandoline, Philocome Pomade, Toilet Waters, Cosmetics, Bulk Extracts, Cologne, etc. He was the sole proprietor until the mid 1870s when his sons joined the business. In 1875, he formed a partnership with Robert O. Kilduffe, forming X. Bazin & Co. In 1877, Hall and Ruckel of New York became sole agents for his products."*****
