Olde Colonial Designs Nantucket Style Basket Pincushion for Cross Stitch Design

Description

This is a tightly woven Nantucket style basket with a pincushion in the top made by Olde Colonial Designs. The basket has a handle and it measures approximately 3" tall, exclusive of the handle. The cushion is covered with a calico print cotton fabric. It is not stuffed but rather feels like a styrofoam ball inside. Some of these types of pincushions were used for Lorri Birmingham cross stitch designs, but I no longer have any of those patterns or kits so I do not know if this is the exact type or not. There is a tag which includes "finishing instructions" for mounting a finished piece of needlework on the pincushion.
