dug store cosmetic bottle.  Though the

, it is quite appropriate as it reveals that this Camelline was, not only used to cure SUNBURN, POISON IVY, INSECT BITES, and to PREVENT FRECKLES ... but, and
here's the kicker, Wakelee's Cameline was to be used as a "TOOTH PASTE",

domestic shipping
.   We do ship International but we do NOT insure International orders unless buyer specifically requests this and we are able to provide an insurance estimate.  If an international shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what YOU pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the ACTUAL shipping costs! This is important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are estimates.  We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and your prompt payment will hasten the turn-around time.
These bottles come in cobalt blue AND amber color.   T
hen it also comes in these colors but in a smaller sample size.  This product was put out by H. P. Wakelee, an early-day San Francisco, California pharmacist.  It was a cosmetic lotion but was also advertising as a cure for sunburn, insect bites, and other afflictions to the skin.
The paper label on this bottle is a facsimile of the real label, a high quality reproduced copy.   We had it copied from one of these bottles we had that still had the label on it.  Why?   Because few bottle collector's of today realize that
this product was also advocated as a TOOTH PASTE ... Yes, it will take the paper label to prove that it was advertised and recommended to be uese 'FOR THE TEETH', as a TOOTH PASTE ... can you believe that?
On one of the label's sides it reads and I quote, "
FOR THE TEETH:
apply
CAMELLINE
thoroughly by means of a toothbrush of medium hardness.
CAMELLINE
not only is an excellent cleanser but tends to
PREVENT DECAY.
"   DENTAL / TOOTH related bottle collector's stand up and take note; now Wakelee's Camelline is not just for western collector's anymore,
check it out!
