    Mercitan Mouth & Throat Lotion Made in USA Caulk Company Milford, Delaware and Toronto, Canada on the front of a clear, 3 7/8 inch triangular shaped bottle. An unusual 3 sided cork top medicinal antiseptic mouthwash bottle embossed in the glass. L.D. Caulk Company was formed in 1885. Organized by Dr. Levin D. Caulk, a native of Camden, Delaware, the company began with the manufacture of gutta-percha, amalgam and cement. Caulk, himself, had practiced in Wilmington and in St. Louis, MO before returning to Camden to organize his business.
