on both, front and back panels....Hand blown in mold....hand tooled square ring collar....aqua....square...2 1/4"tall....Excellent condition with only a tiny 1/8"surface stress line near base; no other damage. A dug bottle but pretty clean. Job Moses was the agent for Sir James Clarke's Female Pills which were widely advertised throughout the country in the 1860s - 1880s and used by thousands of women as an abortion pill. Here's an example of what an actual ad said in one newspaper of the 1860s: "SIR JAMES CLARKE'S FEMALE PILLS The genuine have the name of JOB MOSES on each package. All others are worthless....It moderates all excesses and removes all obstructions from whatever cause. To married ladies it is particularly suited. It will, in a short time, bring on the monthly period with regularity..." This was an 1860s way of saying INDUCE ABORTION! Inducing menstruation was the same as inducing a miscarriage to abort a pregnancy....and many women knew all about it. These pills contained powerful ingredients which included OIL OF SAVON which was well known to cause miscarriage and abortion. I want to emphasize that this bottle is empty
