This is a new replacement aftermarket part for the Homelite fuel cap with built in primer bulb. It replaces the discontinued / obsolete Homelite fuel cap with primer bulb.
Please Note:
This is not the OEM or the Original Part because they are no longer available. This primer bulb is fabricated as a replacement for the original part. They are hand made one at a time using no epoxy or glue that might fail.
It replaces the original part numbers below:
Homelite Part # A01372A or UP05955 - Fuel Cap W/ Built In Primer Bulb
It will fit the models listed below:
Fits XL, XL-2, Super 2, VI Super 2, 180, 190, 192, 200, LX30, 240 and Super 240
chainsaws.
Instructions for use:
The replacement primer bulb cap has two inlet tubes on the underside of the cap were the original had one. The new cap will fit one and two fuel line applications.
For one fuel line; connect to the smaller inlet tube and block the longer tube.
For two fuel lines; connect fuel lines to either inlet tube.
For one fuel line; connect to the smaller inlet tube and block the longer tube using a sheet metal screw, round toothpick, or plastic cap.
Make sure the fuel line fits tightly by cutting ¼'' off the end, and then to keep the fuel line from twisting and restricting fuel. Rotate the cap three turns counterclockwise in your hand then put on the saw.
If your still having problems; take the cap off and make sure the fuel line is tight and untwisted. Then squeeze the primer bulb till it fills with fuel then install.
Please Note: If you having trouble finding this part for your older chainsaw, I can fabricate one for you if your cap is in good condition.
