Description
Rare and original, ca1915 Tin Lithographed Advertising Tip Tray for "Quick Meal Ranges" and Stoves manufactured by the Ringen Stove Company of St. Louis, Missouri. This charming Advertising Tip Tray measures 4 1/2” by 3 1/2" and features an image of four newborn chicks with one standing atop a hatched egg shell reaching toward an insect flying overhead. Text around the rim of the Tray reads “'Quick Meal' Ranges / Made in St. Louis, Mo.". The Chromolithography is of the very highest quality and the Tip Tray carries the mark of the manufacturer - the Ohio Art Company of Byran, Ohio.This ca1915 Tin Litho Advertising Tray is not a reproduction, reissue or restrike but is an original ca1915 Tray manufactured for the Ringen Stove Company to advertise their "Quick Meal" Gas Ranges.
This outstanding, Quick Meal Range / Gas Stove Advertising Tip Tray is in very good condition - the lithography is bright, crisp and beautiful. There are a scattered and small surface blemishes to the image area as can be seen in the scans below and some more extensive wear at the top edge of the raised rim. Please see the scans below for a good indication of the form and the condition of this charming Tin Litho Tray.
