THIS IS A GREAT CONDITION UNCLEANED DRUG STORE BOTTLE......DISPLAYS WELL, A REALLY NICE BOTTLE, FROM TOUGH TOWN OF WATSONVILLE....AND ORIGINAL OWNER WAS THE AUTHOR OF THE BOOK AND THOUGHT "RARE" ONE TOUGH TO FIND WITH THE "CHAS POLK" VARIETY....LOOKING AT THE TOYNTON DRUG STORE DIRECTORY, THIS DRUGGIST OPERATED HIS DRUG STORE IN THE 1896 ERA....SCARCE UNKNOWN RARITY IN MILLER
THIS IS A TOUGHER TOWN ...AND A NICE UNCLEANED SPECIMEN....HOPING YOU CAN TELL HOW NICE THIS ONE IS FROM MY AVERAGE PICTURE TAKING ABILITY :)...THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BOTTLE,.AND SCARCE VARIETY TO FIND...(would turn darker purple...has the age, has never been exposed to sunlight) HAS NEVER BEEN CLEANED...MILLER DID NOT ASSIGN RARITY, AND AUTHOR THOUGHT THIS RARE (IT WAS HIS)
THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL SPECIMEN....THIS COMES OUT OF A LIFETIME COLLECTION OF CALIFORNIA DRUG BOTTLES....watch for future listings
The old town of WATSONVILLE is located in Santa Cruz County, not far from Santa Cruz, and Pajaro Cal
The bottle is what I would call light clear light purple colored glass, it stands about 5 1/2" tall ...and it is a very nice specimen, displays very well, (see gallery) just has not been cleaned at all but glass is great.
, neat bottle. Crisp embossing on this one
Gallery pictures should show you all you need to know, took pictures from many angles. (see gallery pictures)
