Compact regenerative clamp for DC drives.  In some cases, can be used to prevent power supply overvoltage faults in motor drive systems during motor deceleration.  Rapid motor deceleration can require the motor drive / power supply to absorb power.  This absorbed power (rapid energy regeneration) can cause a power supply overvoltage condition especially when switching power supplies are used.  This regen clamp provides some protection for regulated power supplies.
