Antique Tibetan Monk Travel Trunk

Description

This is a rare and beautiful hand painted (by individual monk) travel chest or chest for the Altar room.
The paint is vivid with both geometric design and traditional mystic Buddhist symbols.  All the gold
outline is raised making the exquisiteness of the painting style stand out.  It is in very good condition.
(There is an age crack at the top of the trunk which is normal at its age and doesn't interfere with
beauty or function).  If you look closely you will see that the original hardware has been replaced.

The inside is pristine.
Bought from an estate with a collection.  I will be putting up more of the pieces.
