This is a a great looking antique LIQUID TOOTH POWDER bottle, clearly embossed for the TEETH, and it is a very early hand-blown example that was made all the way back in the 1800's.
Many collectors of antique dental bottles are dentists themselves, building small collections of antique dental bottles to display in their waiting rooms and offices and this is a prime example of just this sort of thing as it says so simply, "For the TEETH".
The paper label this bottle is a facsimile of the real label, a high quality reproduced copy.   We had it copied from one of these bottles we had that still had the label on it.  This is such a hard bottle to find with a label on it, and expensive too, and there are very few of the labeled examples still around. So this way, with a copy of the original label on it, many more people can enjoy it as it originally looked as very few collectors will ever find one of the originals.  Old dental bottles like this contained nothing more than a liquid or powdered tooth paste, yet they claimed that they had secret medicinal properties that, if used regularly, could cure any type of past or present disease of the mouth, gums, throat, even things that they still can't cure today. This is a classic antique 'tooth powder / dentifrice' style bottle, a fancy & attractive bottle. Note it is very FULLY embossed and except for just some content stain/residue, it looks to be in perfect condition,
