Condition
:   Bottle is in shiny condition but it has spotty content stain and age-wear including scuffs and scrapes, nicks and dings, impact marks and scratches.  It is NOT perfect, though there isn't anything significantly wrong with it, as described.

A GREAT looking old Owl Drug bottle. You don't often see these cylinder shaped bottles, yet with the same owl embossed on the bottle as you see on the little rectangular shaped bottles, perched on a druggist mortar, and stirring the pestle. The sign of quality drugs, as it were. Then too the color of this bottle is quite right, a beautiful deep emerald green color.  This bottle originally came filled with citrate of magnesia, this bottle held one dose, so they were meant to be discarded after just one use, which meant it was a very cheaply made bottle. Many of these that you see have been dug up out of the ground, buried in a long forgotten dump, and the glass tends to react badly with the minerals in the ground so that many of these bottles are stained. There are about ten (10) distinctively different of these cylinder Owl Drug Citrate bottles, that is, 10 that are each unique in color, embossing, or bottle age/type. Actually the colors can vary so that a collector could probably get many more then this with light variations in the shades of color, but the 10 pretty much cover it. This crown top is the very last of the colored citrates, as then the bottles started appearing in clear glass and then disappeared altogether.
