You are bidding on an early, crude antique open pontil
LYON'S KATHAIRON FORTHE HAIR
bottle from New York.  Dating between 1840-1860, this bottle is light aqua in color and stands 6" tall by 2" wide.  It is blown in mold and has an applied double collar mouth, long neck, smooth recessed panels, beveled corners, crude non-symmetrical features, irregular glass surfaces and a deep, sharp tubular open pontil scar in the center of the base.  It is embossed on all four sides and reads as follows:
LYON'S  //  KATHAIRON  //  FOR THE HAIR  //  NEW YORK
This early open pontil hair bottle is in outstanding condition with no cracks, chips or damage besides a little internal stain, otherwise fine.
