    Description

    Classic 1850's pontil medicine bottle, flared lip, around 4 1/4" tall, embossed
    Dr. McMunn's Elixir of Opium
    .  This is not a dug bottle, all the embossing is legible, pontil doesn't stick out so it stands no problem.  If you run your finger around the lip you can feel a tiny rough spot which I see is a tiny flake under a magnifying glass.  Otherwise, it is completely attic mint and a beautiful example.
