bottle from Hartford, CT.   Dating between 1850-1860, this bottle is light aqua in color and stands 5-1/2" tall by 2" wide.  It is blown in mold and has an applied double collar mouth, short neck, smooth recessed panels, beveled corners, crude non-symmetrical features, wavy, irregular glass surfaces and an open pontil scar in the center of the base.  It is embossed on three sides and reads as follows:

This scarce Connecticut open pontil medicine bottle is in outstanding condition with no cracks, chips or damage besides a tiny, insignificant back shoulder anomoly, otherwise, clean and perfect.
