For sale is a RARE!Antique early 1900s German Mechanical Music Box made out of painted tin. The item is NOT intended to be a child’s toy. Instead, It is made as a tool to provoke canary birds to sing! I cannot fine another identical item on EBay, so this is truly a unique find. The same item preserved in museum quality has a hand crank that rotates the inner gear manually which then turns a copper music disk to play fantastic songs. The item For sale miss the original crank. But if you are handy, it could be replaced. The inner gears seem to be complete and should work with proper oiling. But if you not up to this task, the tin box itself would be a highly decorative piece to add to your antique tin or toy collections.
The tin music box measures 6.5” tall, 4.5” by 4.5” at the bottom. I gladly combine shipping for multiple purchases.
