The bottle still has a portion of the original label that it was originally wrapped in.

that a small cache of these were found back east, in a crawl space in the basement of an ancient old house.   Obviously a tenant back in the 1800's became addicted to the opium and discarded these bottles, and out of a heap of broken glass, about a dozen of these bottles were whole and still retained remnants of the label surrounding the bottle.  So we photo'd just a few of them since they are all the exact same bottle, but with differing amounts of the label on them.   The point is, this listing is for one of them, not the exact one photo'd but the exact same bottle with some part of the label still remaining, similar to what is in the picture.

As the title says, this bottle is the POSTER CHILD of antique QUACK MEDICINE bottles, as very few antique bottles actually have a narcotic ingredient embossed on it as this one does.  It is still wrapped in part of its original tattered label/wrapper.
