RARE ANTIQUE EMBOSSED CHARLES ELLIS SON & CO'S PHILADELPHIA FINE WILLOW CHARCOAL MEDICINE BOTTLE WITH LABEL JOHN L. BOYLE MANUFACTURING CHEMIST, PHILADELPHIA
This is an antique aqua glass embossed medicine bottle with original paper label from the late 1800's. Bottle advertises for the Charles Ellis Son & Co's Philadelphia Fine Willow Charcoal medicine cure. The bottle is embossed, "Charles Ellis Son & Co. Phila." around the top portion. Bottle has a wrap-around front label that shows the medicine cures and product name. It also shows the Manufacturing Chemist, John L. Boyle from Philadelphia on it as well. This bottle is in good condition for its' age with just some natural age wear present and some label discoloration near the back of the label. Medicine bottle has no chips or cracks and has a cork-top with the black remnants of the product inside as well. Please see pictures for design and condition detail. It measures about 5 and 3/4″ tall by 2 and 1/4″ in diameter at the base. Wonderful and rare aqua embossed labeled medicine bottle would be great for display in your collection. Don't miss it.
