:   This bottle has some stain (patina) and wear, though there isn't anything specifically wrong with it.  NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc.

hese tall slender round cylinder bottles are often seen for sale on eBay, and they are most always referred to as 'OPIUM' bottles.  The label shows why, and it is also
why we have the color-copied label on it
, to show that these vials DID originally come with an opiated substance, as the label mentions
'
OPIUM
' (and '
ALCOHOL
'!).
I believe that back in the day, products like this could of been purchased off of the shelf of an old time General Mercantile store but once the medicine was gone the pain came back and so another bottle was needed.  Then another, and another, and another, until the Pure Food and Drug Administration started cracking down on opiate laced medicines like this that were creating addictive patterns in even the most disciplined persons, much as this same problem is affecting the country today.
No doubt the OPIUM & ALCOHOL ingredients would ease the pain from whatever was bothering you
