AMAZING Hopi Greg Naseyouma Sterling Silver 14k Belt Buckle ENGRAVED PICTORIAL

Description

This vintage Native American sterling silver and 14k gold belt buckle has fantastic engraved pictorial designs on the front against a patinated background. Depicted at the top are weather elements including a 14k gold Tawa (sun god) and lightning. The middle depicts people engaged in various activities and a man smoking in a kiva with a 14k gold olla or seed pot. The bottom depicts a row of corn plants. I particularly like that the entire background engraving centers around the sun. The outside border has a nice radiating engraved texture.
The buckle measures 3” long by 2” wide and it weighs 60.3 grams.
The loop on the back was made to fit a belt up to 1 1/2” wide.
The back is marked as pictured 14k sterling with the mark for the Hopi artisan Greg Naseyouma.
CONDITION: Light to medium surface wear and some tarnish on the back as pictured. I have tried to capture the condition as honestly as possible in the 6 images so please be sure to see them all. Zoom in for the best views.
