‘1. PINK ROOT. Made by Parke Davis & Co. This may be the only sealed bottle of this product.  The top has a metal or very heavy foil sealed wrapped to the neck. Vintage labels are on both sides. With the product in the bottle, it is hard to tell the color. It looks light green but at certain angles the neck looks aquamarine.

“P D & Co 77” embossed on bottom.  7 ½” tall
‘2. Dispensing bottle. Nice green color.
Side seam extends into neck. I can’t tell if it’s applied. The bottle and stopper are ground glass.

‘3. Label has hand-written: “Tincture of Horse Nettle” and “Van Vleet-Mansfield Drug Co” printed. They were a large drug wholesale company in Memphis, TN.

I’ve owned the bottles with labels, in boxes or with contents since 1971 and I am the original retail purchaser of these bottles. I had a summer job selling product to drug stores. In Greenville, SC, I found over 100 bottles of old store stock. The owner bought the pharmacy after WWII and put all the old stock he didn’t think would sell in cabinets. I sold most of the bottles but kept the ones I liked the most. I am selling them now.
