8" is a generic term, chain must be matched to these specifications to fit - nothing will measure 8"  :
Pitch = 3/8 Low profile
Gauge = .050
(NOT .043) they are not interchangeable !
**Gauge is the thickness of the drive teeth in thousands of an inch or the width of the groove in the bar, the drive link width can be measured with a caliper with 3 digit precision.   Look on your Portland pole saw -  the bar will have a 91 printed on it.
Some pole saws use .043 gauge and this chain will not work.

CHECK YOUR SAW AND CHAIN TO VERIFY CHAIN SPECIFICATION, DO NOT GO SOLELY BY MODEL OR BAR LENGTH
8" and 9 1/2" are generic terms that do not guarantee fitment - they are simply an estimate of how large of a pc of wood the saw can cut.   Use PITCH GAUGE and DRIVE LINK specifications to match your chain or its very likely the chain will not fit your saw.

If the bar has a 90 printed on it this is the wrong chain, we have seen a Portland with a 90 on the bar.
