    Description

    Up for
bid are 2 old narcotic pain killer medicine bottles with labels from the early to mid 1900's era. Bottle on left with original screw cap contained an opium alkaloid present in morphine, codeine and heroin. The Latin name "papaver" translates meaning poppy.  Bottle on right; Pantopon is an Opium Alkaloids Hydrochloride and cocktail mixture with medical opium, morphine, codeine, nicotine and other Alkaloids
.  Used on people that are allergic to morphine and nearly as potent.   I acquired these 10 years ago from the now closed Huron Road Hospital which had an equipment sale in Cleveland, Ohio.  I purchased many old chemical and medicine bottles all in boxes and cabinets
. Both in excellent original condition with no chips or cracks in the dark amber glass.   They stand 4-1/8 and 4-3/4" tall and were never cleaned with dried up content  residue included.  WARNING NOTE; Any contents present are poison and should not be consumed or handled by any human or animal, it may kill you.        Thanks for lo
