Description:
For Sale is a
1950's Tin Litho Painted 8" Rotating World Globe
.
But, it is also an ingenious travel game that is played with magnetic airplanes (not included) and cards (Not Included).   You'll notice on the base there are two spinners.  Depending on where the player lands, they move their "Airplane" to that spot on the globe.  This Globe Game was made by
Replogle of Chicago, Ill.
It is called the
"AIR RACE GLOBE".
I am sure my photos will best further describe this item.
Condition:
On a scale of 1 - 10 (Ten being New in Package Only), I can confidently grade this item's condition to be a
solid 7.
Overall and Especially for being 60+ Years Old, this Retro American Travel Game is in
Good - Very Good
Condition.  First, this item is
No Less than 85% Immaculate.
I have cleaned it only to the point so there is no loose dirt/dust.  There are some areas that show some aging but I have chosen NOT to use strong solvents to clean them for fear of damaging the original pristine litho paint.  I only used some warm soapy water and did not scrub.  In the Northern Hemisphere (top half), there are (4) shallow "dings" (Morocco, Manchuria, American NorthEast Coast and Turkey).
The Base with the spinners has Zero Dents/Dings and the Litho Paint is At Least 85% Pristine.
There is
Zero Rust not any physical damage such as cracks/holes or anything physically broken
