Description
For Sale: I have numerous pages/charts/cards from an International Harvester Agricultural Extension Department publication. It is titled Good Livestock Means Better Farms Better Homes Better Folks and has Form A.E. 40-B - 5-15-20 which dates it 1920 and has great information on cattle, hogs, sheep and horses. IHC Ag Extension Dept published large amounts of booklets, pictures, lecture charts, cards, and articles for the dealers to share with their customers. This is not a complete set so I am selling them separate so someone can fill in a set if needed, though I have never seen this publication before. They measure 9 1/2" x 11" and are a heavy stock paper. They all have typical age wear, some more than others. This may include water stains, foxing, bends/wrinkles, edge wear, markings, scuffs, tears, corners missing, etc... please see pictures for condition. The cover/1st chart is the only one that has the Form number on it but all the others have "Published by International Harvester Company Incorporated Agricultural Extension Department, Harvester Building, Chicago" on the bottom. This auction is for:Chart No. 21 Duroc Jersey Lard Type, Tamworth Bacon Type. It has a picture of two sows. One sow is the a Duroc Jersey sow owned by C.E. Mahans, Osborn, Ohio. The other sow is a Tamworth sow owned by J.B. MacKay, Farragut, Iowa. The back has information on the breeds and how to feed them.
