    THIS DOSE GLASS IS "AS FOUND" WITH LIP DAMAGE....BUT  THIS DOSE GLASS "EXTREMELY RARE".....IT IS THE HIGHEST RARITY IN MY COPY OF THE MILLER CATALOG.....AND THIS COMES OUT OF THE LATE EDRICK MILLER DOSE GLASS COLLECTION....AND IN MANY YEARS OF COLLECTING....ATTENDING SHOWS, AND LATER IN LIFE ONLINE AUCTIONS...WAS THE ONLY ONE FROM THIS MERCHANT HE EVER FOUND.....
    WITH LIP DAMAGE, IT NEVER BOTHERED THE ORIGINAL OWNER, BUT I DO KNOW SOME PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY DO A "RESIN REPAIR" AND COULD MAKE THAT UP TO WINNING BIDDER......I TRIED EVERY ANGLE TO TAKE PICTURES,.....ORIGINAL OWNER CONSIDERED THIS SUPER RARE, AND WAS THE ONLY ONE FROM THIS MERCHANT HE EVER FOUND !!
    BELIEVE THIS DOSE GLASS IS EARLY, BECAUSE THIS DRUGGIST "SH WAGENER" STARTED IN SAN JOSE AROUND 1887, ORIGINAL OWNER CONSIDERED IT "EXTREMELY RARE"......... HE WOULD KNOW RARITIES, AS THIS IS EX-MILLER COLLECTION, AND HE WROTE THE BOOK ON THESE....AGAIN, THIS "AS FOUND" GLASS WAS THE ONLY ONE HE EVER FOUND
    This is a  rare old "SAN JOSE" CALIFORNIA issued "DOSE GLASS" .....This comes out of a lifetime collection of California dose glasses , where original owner collected dose glasses from all over state of California...this one, was the only one he ever found from this merchant in that collection
    These old western drug store "dose glasses" are flat out tough to find today......and this is a tough town....I KNOW "SAN JOSE" IS A SUPER BIG DEAL TODAY...YOU KNOW....SILICON VALLEY....I'M MR HIGH TECH....ETC ETC......BUT, BACK IN THE DAY OF THIS GLASS, SAN JOSE WAS A MUCH SMALLER TOWN
    The historic  town of SAN JOSE is located in Santa Clara County California...not far from towns of Milpitas and Campbell, Cal.
    This dose glass is what I would call a
    light sun purpled to clear colored glass, it stands about 1 7/8" tall  ...and it is obviously as found, but embossing is readable, and could be repaired with resin
    , took pictures from all angles and in different lighting conditions to show glass, ...Has the age and would likely turn darker purple if left in sun
