Popular online shopping marketplace eBay has just acquired UK-based non-fungible token (NFTs) platform KnownOrigin.

KnownOrigin has reported:

“During meetings, eBay impressed us with their willingness to learn, embrace and immerse themselves in Web3. NFTs are fast becoming the future of the creative industry, and our technical innovation, combined with eBay’s brand and community, will provide us with a great opportunity to play a significant and ongoing role in the development of the space.”

The parties signed the agreement on June 21. The details and amount of the deal have not been disclosed.
